Arrival and Free Play – This time is spent on getting the children settled in for the day. Once all the children have arrived, we will be able to start our busy day.

Clean Up Time – An important time for children to learn to pick up after themselves. They also learn that there is a special place for every toy.

Nap – This time is set aside for the children to listen to some soft music, and backs are rubbed. The children will sleep the full two hours to have plenty of energy for the afternoon.

Group Time – This is the time when the children sit down as a small group to learn how to listen to stories and learn simple songs and fingerplays for increasing their language development. It also increases children’s attention span and teaches them to respect books. It is during this time we practice simple sign language.

Activity Time – Simple art activities and fine motor activities are planned for this time of the day. This time is used to help develop their hand-eye coordination, balance, and language skills. It also stimulates your child’s creativity and artistic abilities. Children learn the proper use of different artistic materials.

Outdoor Play/ Gross Motor – Activities during this time are set up to encourage the use of large muscles. Helping to develop large muscles while young is important for walking, running, bike riding, etc., later on in life.

Calendar – Very basic patterning concepts are taught at this time. Children talk about the days of the week to start to understand time conception.

Preparing for Breakfast/Lunch/Snack – This is the time where the children learn proper table manners (i.e. Grace, saying please and thank you after every request, eating with proper utensils). The children are served a hot, nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack. Each eating situation will be served in a family style manner.
